Karrinyarra Artists are a traditional Luritja Warlpiri Anmatyerre family living on their outstation homeland.

The painters are known for their Papunya Tula Art Genesis of the mid 1970’s, traditionally painting sacred sites about Papunya Mt Liebig Ilpili Mt Allen Napperby and Yuendumu.

They paint their Grandparent's CREATION STORIES of traditional food and water holes providing windows into lineage of 'Traditional Kinship with Land and Family'.

The palate is derived from traditional ochre's reinterpreted into contemporary acrylics.

Karrinyarra Artists are a cultural crossroads for contemporary man. To embrace the primary coding of these metaphors is to access the world's oldest living visual arts continuum.
